New Website Launched

Story posted: August 4, 2009 by Clarence Norris

Lone Pine Photo has launched its' new website today. This new format will allow visitors to browse and search our galleries to locate specific images for their photo needs. Images are grouped into galleries for easier browsing. Searches are displayed as thumbnails for easier viewing. Caption information is available by placing your cursor over a thumbnail. Registered users may use multiple lightboxes (up to 10 per person) and may use our pricing calculator to calculate our licensing fees for the use of a Lone Pine Photo rights managed image in books, brochures, calendars or magazines. Users may then save their images to their lightbox and/or purchase the image online using Paypal and download the required image. Lone Pine Photo has spent 18 years building a quality image library of Canada. At the moment, this new website has only 6,000 images. This represents only a fraction of the images we have on file. Users who are unable to locate a specific image for their immediate needs are encouraged to contact us directly at . Many strategies went into planning the layout of our website. Newcomers may find our guides at the bottom of the web page useful in learning how we have organized our images and how they can be easily located. Users can search for images by a specific name, for example, Saskatoon. Users can refine the search by searching for "Saskatoon Summer" for images of Saskatoon in the summer. Users can be even more specific by searching for "Saskatoon Summer People Vtl" to find photos of people in summer in Saskatoon, vertical format only. Users can use the same guidelines to locate images by location, province or geographic location. Our guide "Search Tips" explains this in greater detail. Lone Pine Photo plans to add at least 14,000 additional images over the next year. We will post a news report for each major addition. Thank you to our son, Marc, for his creativity and assistance in developing our website. The goal at Lone Pine Photo has always been to provide quality photos of Canada to our clients at reasonable prices. We are excited that our new website will allow clients to access a wider range of the images we have available. Enjoy!
